r.i.p shoulder pads.

one of my teachers was strongly against shoulder pads last week. it broke my heart a little, i didn't say anything because the room was silent - how was i really gonna top the 'eighties are dead' speech? not happening. so then i just wondered, am i a select breed of fashion students who are crazy for impractical, over the top, shoulder pads?? almost every piece i've ever made has shoulder pads...it actually boggles my mind. am i nuts? or just, maybe Clarissa didn't explain it all.. hm.
